Melanie Princl '24 Recruiting Profile

Becoming a collegiate athlete would be a very special honor for me.  This is my 3rd year as a Varsity Track Athlete at West Bend West High School.  As a Freshman I was the only athlete to compete in the 100m hurdles and the 300m hurdles.  I also participate in the 4x100, 4x200 and 4x400 relays.  I learned by watching the upper classmen and asking lots of questions of the hurdles coach on what I needed to do to become better. I bring fight, determination and strength to any team I am on. I recently competed in the Wisconsin Division 2 State Gymnastics Meet where I placed 6th on the balance beam and floor as well as placing 8th in the All-Around.  Being a gymnast has taught me to be strong mentally and physically in high pressure situations.
