Volleyball has been a very important part of my life for as long as I can remember. I would love to keep playing at the next level and keep on bettering my skills as a setter. Being a setter I am a great team player and work well with others. I always encourage my teammates and never discourage them if they make a mistake. I also am a great team leader just like when I was a team captain for my previous club teams. Also, I am very coachable and listen well to adjustments and fixes. I take criticism well and fix what I am doing wrong right away. I am very hard working and driven to play all the time with 110% whether it’s at practice or a game. Because of my hard work, determination, and great coaches I’ve had throughout the years I have been getting better and better every year I play volleyball. I also know that understanding the mental part of the game is just as important as the physical aspect. I try not to get rattled and stay calm even if the game is on the line. I also don’t yell at my teammates for making mistakes and brush them off and focus on the next part and encourage them to do better on the next point.
I love academics just as much as I do volleyball. School is just as important to me as sports are. I am very interested in science and the human body which is why in the future I would like to major in physical therapy or athletic training or something like that in the medical field. I am a great student and always give 100% to my school work. Problem-solving, thinking fast in my feet, and being decisive quick are qualities needed to be both a good setter and a physical therapist or athletic trainer. This is why I believe I am a good setter and would someday make a good athletic trainer or physical therapist. My grades in school are very important to me and always come first for me. I would love to go to a college where I can go on and better my athletic career and meets my athletic and academic goals.
On the court, I am known for being reliable and consistent. I will always try my hardest to do what I need to on the court and in school to the best of my ability. I never want to let anyone down in my life whether it’s my teammates or my family. I will always work hard and never give up until the task at hand is complete. I am very competitive when it comes to sports and grades I have the drive to be the best in school and at volleyball. Because of my competitive nature, I have a will to win in anything just ask my family and friends.
