As an athlete, I constantly strive to do better both in athletics and academics, while at the same time encouraging my peers to do the same. Maintaining solid relationships with family, community members, peers, and teammates are some of the most important things to me. When I moved to Alaska with my family in 2017, I learned staying involved in the community, which in big part means staying athletic, is a vital part of a healthy and productive mindset throughout the year.
My love for both volleyball and basketball originated in 7th grade when I moved up to Alaska. In California, I participated in solo sports including cross country running and Shaolin Kempo, living more remotely those sports weren't as easy to find, but I'm so thankful I play on a team. I have played on the varsity team in both volleyball and basketball for the entirety of my high school career. I am very proud to know my name is known throughout the state of Alaska due to my athletic and academic accolades, I most recently received the honor of best hitting percentage and most kills for the state of Alaska for volleyball.
I have quick movements, strategic gameplay, and I am very coachable. These attributes allowed me to play at a competitive level on both the offensive and defensive sides of the court. I will always expect the unexpected and do whatever it takes to make the ball playable. I strive to be positively motivated on and off the court. As a daughter of two Army veterans, they have instilled strong morals and values in me that I try to live my life by. I try to show empathy towards those who are struggling with their choices, they can look to me for guidance. I take the game of volleyball very seriously and will always put 100% effort toward the end goal. I have put all of my trust in my coaches and it hasn't failed me, so I look forward to the opportunity to find a team to play with where we are a close family unit. I am looking forward to learning to hone in on sharpening my volleyball skills and growing as a player and a person.
