Shayla Povey '25 Recruiting Profile

I've been playing volleyball for five years, both at the club level and for my school. Starting as a Middle Block, I've recently moved to the Right Side due to my attack capabilities, which is a testament to my adaptability and versatility on the court. Volleyball has always been a huge part of my life, and I love it that way. The feeling of pure energy and joy with every point, and teamwork, is something that really captivates me. I've dedicated myself to working out with a personal trainer, both 1-on-1 and with my team during the season. This extra training has contributed very much to my on-court performance. While I'm still undecided on my field of study, I do know that I want to include volleyball in my future plans after graduation and in to my studies. Pursuing what I'm passionate about is so important, and it's clear that volleyball is one of those things for me. I'm committed to taking my game to the next level and I'm excited to see where this journey takes me.
