I have been a multi-sport athlete for five years. Volleyball is the one sport that I feel most drawn to. It gives me a sense of individual accomplishment AND the benefits of being part of a team. This year volleyball presented me with teammates and coaches that felt like family. I genuinely looked forward to practices and felt energized after each practice, whether I played well or not. I gained confidence and started seeing my development on and off the court. My growth has been rapid and if I continue at this pace I know I will play elite post secondary volleyball.
I do realize that I will have to hard work for it. That’s why, for my freshman year, I will be spending my time on strength and conditioning, improving my offensive skills, and preparing for the SAT and ACT. I’m on track to graduate with a French immersion diploma and plan to continue with bilingual studies. Challenges - both academic and athletic – inspire me push myself to my potential. These challenges are not only shaping me, they’re creating new paths. And so, I have decided to take an active role in the recruiting process. I am highly motivated to fulfill my potential.
