I was first introduced to volleyball when I was in the first grade during a summer camp at the University of Arkansas. Of course, my dad didn't sign me up to learn the sport of volleyball, he dropped me off while he went to work, as he was a basketball coach there. At that time, track was my sport. Then I started playing basketball. Fast forward six years, I was reintroduced to volleyball in the 7th grade by friends. I fell in love with the sport. I decided at that time, Volleyball was my sport and I wanted to excel and be great at it.
I am extremely devoted to volleyball and my dream is to play at a high level school with a high level academic program. I try to be a great teammate on and off the court. I encourage my teammates to stay focused on getting better at the game of volleyball and staying on top of our grades. I’ve been told I am a very energetic person because I do not just cheer for my team I get riled up for them. My primary Position is right side hitter, but I have recently been placed at setter for my high school team. With my new club team, I am also learning to play defense. This is exciting because I love a challenge and it's going to help me become a more well rounded player. I have been playing club volleyball for one and a half years and I have been working hard to develop my skill set to become a complete volleyball player.
I am currently a sophomore in high school at Little Rock Christian Academy. They have a very rigorous academic program which will prepare me for the academic challenge in college. My future aspirations are to attend College/University as a communications major to become a female sports broadcaster or Pre med to become a Dermatologist. I have not set a boundary on the geographic location of where I will attend school. I feel there is something to learn and people to meet in all parts of the country. I am very driven and I am pushing myself to be at the top in athletics, as well as academics..
