Hello! My name is Isabella (or Izzy) Chu and I am a 5’9 front-row player possessing an average 10’2” vertical approach from Belmont, California. I’m a strong believer that hard work, determination, and perseverance are key to success and that it is never too late to follow your dreams. Despite being a “late bloomer” in terms of when I started volleyball, my determination and drive to continuously improve has made me a force to be reckoned with. I have and will continue to put my blood, sweat, and tears into my passion for volleyball.
I can be seen as a utility player as I can play as a middle hitter, pin hitter, and the back-row. Although I am slightly undersized as a front-row player, I am agile, quick on my feet, and very aggressive at the net.
Ideally, I'm looking for a school on the West Coast (California, Washington, etc.) but am open to any opportunity that presents itself. My top two choices for majors are either in the realm of Biology or Communications.
At the end of the day, I hope to find a school where I fit-in academically while still being able to play competitive volleyball.
