My academic goal is to graduate from a 4 year university with a Kinesiology degree and then go to graduate school to obtain a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
Being an athlete, I have been exposed to athletic training and physical therapy. I feel that I can make a contribution to the profession and to the lives of those who need rehabilitation.
I have played sports for the majority of my life. I believe you learn a lot from sports: leadership, working with others, camaraderie, perseverance (practicing a skill to be good if not great at it) and many more.
Being a team captain for my varsity volleyball team, I've learned that I need to be an example on the court as well as off the court. Work hard and do my best whether it's playing volleyball or activities outside of volleyball.
