Playing volleyball has given me so many amazing opportunities in life that not everyone gets to experience. The people I meet, the teammates I grew with, and the coaches I learn from all play a big part in my volleyball career. I first started playing volleyball when I was eight years old back in 2017, after my cousin invited me to watch her play at Red Rock Rave in Las Vegas and I instantly found a love for this sport.
Playing volleyball has taught me so much more than I have learned in school. Volleyball has taught me that mistakes are okay as long as you better yourself from it, and it has also taught me leadership, teamwork, discipline, commitment and sacrifice.
Outside of volleyball, one of my favorite things to do is ride my horse. Horses have always been a huge part of my life and have helped me improve my time management skills. Going between school, volleyball, and the barn hasn’t always been easy and sometimes means getting up early in the morning to ride before school, but all of this has taught me that no matter what you have to keep a positive attitude and be grateful because there are so many people that dream of getting to do what I get to do.
