Aloha! My name is Kayla Fray, I’m an Outside/Opposite hitter for indoor and specialize as a Blocker for beach volleyball. For high school, I played at Ulysses S. Grant High School in Van Nuys, CA. For club volleyball, I played my 9th-11th grade years at SoCal Legends VBC in Los Angeles, California.
I am currently playing for Palm Beach State College doing both indoor and beach since the spring of 2023.
A list of the following achievements I have earned are:
2019 CIF City Player of the Year – Division III
2019 First Team All-City – Division III
2019 East Valley First Team All-League
2019 All-Area Second Team
2019 Grant HS Team MVP
2020 Grant HS Athlete of the Year (Female)
2021 All-City Open Division
2021 Grant HS Athlete of the Year (Female)
2022-23 1st Ever NJCAA Beach Volleyball National Champion
2023-2024 Back-to-Back NJCAA Beach Volleyball National Champion
For the 2024-2025 Fall season, I am currently playing indoor for Palm Beach State as an opposite hitter.
I am a confident player, but I am always looking for ways to enhance my game, working and connecting with the team, and overall being open to the guidance from those who have come before me.
I also enjoy activities with friends and family, such as going to the beach, singing songs with the people I love most, and reading books whenever I have free time. I have many friends, and I love to help others.
