Samvel Akhverdyan '22 Recruiting Profile

I’ve been doing sports all my life but I’ve felt a connection with wrestling when I started. I felt like it was a turning point in my life and I have a chance to do something with myself. Everyday I’m in the room working hard constantly and getting the extra work in even if not possible. I will do whatever it takes to be one of the best and I know how much sacrifice it takes and I’m willing to take the sacrifice. I have very high goals such as NCAA D1 championships and to be one of the best in the country. My goal by senior year is to win a junior national title. I’ve been jumping up and down weight classes but I feel like a tank at 170. My natural weight a year ago was 210. I’ve been grinding and I put on a lot of muscle and shred down that fat so I would do amazing at 170. I work harder than anyone and I will prove it by taking what’s mine next year and the year after that... A State Title. I will never stop grinding because I know there are people out there who are working just as hard and that means I got to work harder.
