Over the last 9 years, I have played volleyball year round from indoor club volleyball to outside sand and grass tournaments during the summer. I learned to excel at Setter, DS, and Right Side Hitter. I also have a very strong serve. Most recently, I ran a 5/1 and earned All Centennial League First Team in high school. Also, I earned the Warrior Pride award as well as MVP honors. I received CHSSA Academic All State Honorable Mention and Academic Scholar award at my school. All State honors went to two well deserving NCAA D1 recruits that I have competed with for years.
I've been told that I am a natural leader and enjoy energizing and encouraging my teammates. I have a very high Volleyball IQ, love to practice, attend clinics/private lessons, and continually improve upon my skills. I am proud of the fact that I have never missed a set/match due injury or any other reason. I will conclude my club career with Rocky Select 18 Black running a 5/1 as we strive to earn another bid to Nationals. Overall, I'm a well rounded and very coachable as a Setter, but also I have training as a Defensive Specialist (DS) and Right Side (RS) positions as needed to help our TEAM. Fundamentals and this experience as a DS & RS was invaluable preparing me to run a 5/1.
Currently, I'm in my Senior year of high school (class of 2018). I was voted Captain for the Arapahoe High School Volleyball team by my peers this season. I'm the only Setter and run a fast-paced 5-1. Last season, my high school team made it to the 2016 Colorado State Tournament. We ended the season ranked #10 in 5A for Colorado with a 20-7 record and 2nd in a very competitive Centennial League 5A Division which has earned 3 of the last 4 State Championships for 5A Volleyball. This year the Centennial League produced the #1 ranked team in 5A and the runner up at State. This past season, I ranked 2nd in League for Aces, 3rd in League for Assists, 6th in League for digs as Setter. I also had more blocks than most of my hitters.
I'm heading back for my 5th year with Rocky Select Volleyball Club in Colorado asTeam Co-Captain. My team has consistently played at a high level in the Rocky Mountain Region in Division 1 Level and we qualified for Nationals in 2014 and 2016. Prior to playing for Rocky Select, I played at Arizona Sky Volleyball Club for 4 years where I learned my volleyball fundamentals.
