Cassondra Pickering '27 Recruiting Profile

I started volleyball with some friends as a fall sport to keep me in shape for basketball. After the first couple of practices and camps, I knew that volleyball was no longer just a fall sport to me. I knew I had fallen in love with the game! I started out as a setter, then wanted to take advantage of my height so I switched to outside. I loved the feeling of getting a good block, so I took that love and some advice from one of my favorite coaches we called Coach Cookie and made the final switch to middle. Ever since then I have been working hard to be an amazing middle for my team. I love the team dynamic of volleyball, the feeling that I have a team of friends on and off the court. Stepping on the court clears my mind of anything not volleyball related, I feel free when I play. I look forward to practicing and getting better so I can play in the future!
