Hello! My name is Alyssa Hook and I am going into 9th grade at West Boca Raton High School. I have a 4.0 GPA and in all advanced classes excluding language arts. I have played club volleyball for 3 years at Boomers Volleyball Academy in Pompano Beach, FL and this past year at Tribe which is also in Pompano Beach. My primary position is outside hitter, but I can play the whole court. I enjoy training and working with coaches to help me improve. In my spare time, I watch hours of volleyball game film online - men's and women's, college, Olympic, and professional teams.
I am physically fit and flexible at 5'11'' and 135 pounds. I hope to reach 6'2''. I love to exercise and am active all the time. I achieved my 1st Degree Black Belt in Karate at age ten. I have some experience in Basketball. I have also run multiple 5Ks. I tried beach volleyball and surfing in the last year, and I really enjoyed both. School is very important to me. In 8th grade, I took Italian 1, Holocaust Studies, and Algebra 1. As a freshman, I am looking forward to Geometry, Italian 2, and the next level of VOLLEYBALL!
I am looking for a college that pushes me to work harder and to be my best academically and physically. My future goals are to graduate from and play volleyball at a Division 1 school. I'm unsure which degree to pursue but I will figure that out soon.
Thank you for your consideration!
