I grew up watching my sister play multiple sports and I didn’t find any of them interesting until she played volleyball. Watching how much enthusiasm she had on and off the court with her teammates drove me to start playing the game. My passion for volleyball has grown tremendously since I started playing and I would like to pursue it at a collegiate level while also studying Chemical Engineering. Going to the Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science, and Technology while playing volleyball has taught me to balance rigorous academics and club sports at the same time. I’m very driven and hardworking in everything that I do, which has allowed me to improve and learn a lot more about the sport. Recently I’ve been focusing on academics which can be seen by my AP courses. I have been a part of Student Leadership Society, National Spanish Honor Society, Girl Scouts, VITA (Volunteer Tax Program), and Service Learning and throughout all of these, I’ve experienced leading and helping the community.
