Aloha,
Being the oldest of four children, I've always had to be a leader and an example for my siblings. Being from a small town in Hawaii, where sports is very competitive, that leadership mind frame helped me in my volleyball journey. I started playing volleyball when I was 8 years old and have played the sport ever since. My passion for volleyball only continues to grow as I grow as a student athlete. My education always comes first as I always strive to keep my grades up. I have been in honors Math the last couple of years and will be in honors English and honors Science next semester. I strive to always be a leader on and off the court. I aim to have a growth mindset, never allowing myself to stay stagnant rather always moving forward and being elevated to my best potential. My goals and aspirations in life is to become a Veterinarian. Eventually bringing my love for animals back to my home in Hawaii to serve my community.
I believe I would be a great asset to any team because I always carry a positive attitude, I am always willing to learn, I am very coach-able and I get along great with my teammates. I also would be a great asset because I know how to be a great team player and an active team member. I understand what being a part of a team means. It means we cheer each other on when we do great and pick each other up when we get down on ourselves. It means pushing each other to do our best when we feel tired and defeated. In closing I love the sport, love being on the court and love being a part of a team.
Mahalo,
Bella Vickers
