Playing in college is one of my goals since playing I started playing at the age of 5. My mom was a high school volleyball coach for many years and I was always at practice shagging balls for the older girls, trying to be like them. I started playing competitively when I was 8 on a leisure sand team, then on my junior high team and have loved the game ever since. I've been playing club volleyball for 6 years now and it's become my passion both on and off the court. The sport has struck some interest in what I also wish to do in my career; sports medicine or EMT.

Playing volleyball has given me so many opportunities to see different places, meet new people and watch other players develop. My team has become my family and I've earned the respect and friendship of many teammates the last couple of years. The game has also taught me many life lessons and made me a better person each and every day. I've worked hard over the last couple of years to earn a starting position on both my high school and club teams. I feel that I've become a player that many trust and lean on for support.

I feel that volleyball has made me into the person that I am today. I'm dedicated, I don't want to ever let my team down and at times I'm very hard on myself, probably my worst critic. I'm the same way with academics, I push myself to perfection at times which is good and bad. I'm a good leader, I have no problem taking charge and establishing a plan and seeing it through. I'm passionate, when I do something I do it and I do it well and I won't stop until I get it right.

I feel that I will make a great teammate at the college level both on and off the court. I am looking for the right college, not too big and not too small but one that will feel at home for me and allow me to be my own person. I want to play volleyball, earn a degree and then put that degree to work.
