Personal Statement

Hi! My name is Sidnee Schwarz and I am a class of 2024 libero / defensive specialist.  Thank you for viewing my profile!

I am a senior at Metro-East Lutheran High School in Edwardsville, IL and will play my 18u club season for Crossfire STL.  My school season is underway and I have posted highlights from week #3 where we went 3-0.  We compete in the Gateway Metro Conference and have tournaments in Springfield, Illinois, Belleville, Illinois and Bethalto, Illinois this season.

***PLAYER BIO***

As a kid I played every sport in the books. As I grew older my parents made me choose. I ended up choosing volleyball, and at that time I knew I wanted to play at the collegiate level.  As a kid, I remember going to all my local high school volleyball games and watching the "big girls" play.  I hoped that would be me one day. Now that I am in high school, I am slowly becoming one of the big girls and I hope that the young girls will look up to me like I looked up to the older girls.  I started playing club volleyball at 13u for H2 Under Armour and will finish my club career playing for Crossfire STL 18u.

I consider myself a leader on and off the court while also leading by example. Every game and practice I push myself to be the hardest worker on the court while also making my teammates better.  I not only strive to be the hardest working athlete, but also student. I study hard and maintain honor roll. I would like to find a college where I can push myself academically and athletically while being at the highest level possible.

I have learned lots of things from playing volleyball. Mostly, that there is a huge difference between playing the game and understanding the game. I have also learned that if you trust your teammates the game will flow much easier. I will always continue to work on my skills as a volleyball player, have a strong desire to win, be a leader, be coached, and be part of a strong team.

Thank you again for viewing my profile!

Sincerely,

#18

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
