I have played volleyball for 8 years of my life. That means that 50% of my life has been spent competing. I truly believe that volleyball has made me into the person I am today. It has taught me to set goals, work hard, communicate, and how to push through the difficult times. Last year I switched to a new club team D1 where I had a very successful season and developed my leadership and communication skills. I am very athletic and my height combined with my jumping ability makes me a threat from not only the back row but also the front row.
Freshman year of high school volleyball I had one of the most influential coaches of my life. Our team was not the most talented at the beginning of the season, but we worked harder than any other team I had been on in the past. Not only did my volleyball skills increase, but my mentality completely changed. Since that season I have had not only a physical toughness but a mental one as well.
