Hi! I am Colby. I am a sophomore at John Wood Community College and I play volleyball. I am a starter, playing opposite. I had a position change, and I am loving playing on the right side! I am a very hard worker and am extremely coachable. I see volleyball as something that I can go and play, turning my reality mind-set off and just play the sport I love, volleyball. I am always told by my coaches and teammates of how I am such a positive person, who is always smiling and bubbly on and off of the court.
When I was a senior in high school, I tore my acl and mcl my first scrimmage of the year. I missed my whole senior season and that truly showed me how much impact volleyball had on my life. Going to the games and watching while being hurt was heartbreaking because I knew how bad I wanted to be on that court. After the season was over, and not getting any chance of playing my last volleyball season in high school, I made the decision that I didn't want my volleyball career to end that way. I then committed to John Wood Community College, and am now in my sophomore season. I know I made the right decision to continue my volleyball career, even after all the hardships that it put me through. I love volleyball too much to be done, as I am looking to transfer and continue my academic and athletic careers for the fall of 2025!
