Shelby Johnson '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Shelby and I am an Outside/Opposite Hitter, class of 2021. I am very passionate about volleyball and academics. I try to learn something new and improve my volleyball skill sets every day. This has made me a dedicated and coachable athlete. On the court, I am supportive and encouraging of my teammates. My love for the sport is infectious and motivates my teammates and myself to put our all on the court every match. I enjoy the competitive aspects of the game and maintain high standards for myself in the gym and in the classroom. I am a 4.0 GPA, 3-sport student-athlete. 

I am blessed and grateful to be playing volleyball and my aspirations regarding the sport are to continue to play at the collegiate level. Geographically, I am open to the idea and enthusiastic about moving distances near or far to find the best match for me academically and athletically. During my college search, I will be looking for a school with selective academics, as I am looking to be a Pre-Med student. Playing volleyball at the next level has been a dream of mine for years, in addition to becoming a developmental and behavioral pediatrician.  I am willing to do whatever it takes to make my dreams a reality.
