I have been playing volleyball since I have been in the fifth grade. Ever since entering high school, I knew I aspired to continue my volleyball career at the collegiate level. My coaches have always expressed the importance of working hard in order to achieve my goals. In this case, playing volleyball in college.
I work hard in both seasons of volleyball I participate in order to enable me to be not only a better player but a better teammate as well. I have always been told by all of my coaches I have been blessed to have that I am very coachable and a good listener. I use my mental toughness to push past the poor thoughts that could bring me and my teammates down. Through my many years of volleyball, I have learned lots of new things but still am constantly learning. Since I have had eight seasons of volleyball total throughout my life my volleyball IQ is more advanced.
In the classroom and on the court I maintain my intelligence. My cumulative GPA is currently 4.5 on a 4.0 scale. I am very involved in my school and participate in one sport(volleyball) and five clubs(Rotary, FCA, Pep Club, Spanish Club, and Prom Committee). I am dedicated to all of my classes and clubs and I keep a good balance between academics and athletics. I am a very motivated student and am eager to learn not only about culture around us but culture in other countries. I have taken 7 years of Spanish and am currently in Spanish III in the High School I attend as a junior. In college I hope to maybe continue that study and apply it to an education degree that I am looking to acheive.
I want to attend a college that will push me academically and athletically. I am open to many options, but hoping to stay close to home in Illinois. I ultimately want what is best for me and my family, and hope to find the perfect school for my career intentions.
