Personal Statement

Hello I am Jada Hampton a middle hitter and outside hitter for Uno Volleyball Club and Varsity Minooka Community High School in Illinois. Currently volleyball is the only sport. I have played softball for 8 years, but since starting high school have decided to focus on just volleyball.  I love the game of volleyball. I prefer the fast paced game over any other activity. I feel I learn something new every time I'm on the court. I've built a great sisterhood with my teammates on both my school and travel league. Unfortunately, my 2020 school season has been pushed back to the Spring due to COVID 19. My 2020 club season also ended early because of Covid 19. During this downtime, I have taken advantage of resting but also working towards getting stronger and faster. I have a pretty steady workout schedule that includes cardio, strength training and flexibility. Although there's  nothing like being in the gym and on the court, my home workout routine seems to be keeping me in shape.

I also participate in the  band for the Minooka Community High School. I am in the percussion section but can play multiple instruments and read music. Creating music is one of the things I do on my downtime. I have a mini studio in my bedroom where I can compose my own music.

I have a strong passion for drawing, building, creating and admiring my final results. This is why I aspire to be an architect . I want to create beautiful structures that others can enjoy as well. Architecture will be my major as I enter college. I know this will be a challenging study, but I love school and up for the challenge. I'm inspired by learning new things. I am an honor student and have been since starting school. I'm enrolled in  multiple honors classes . My GPA is 3.8.

I have a pretty strong support system. I am the oldest of 3 children. I have a  13 year old brother named DJ who is also an athlete and honor student. I have a 4 year old sister named Phoenix who is like a mini version of myself. My family, including mom, step dad, dad, aunts,  uncles. grandparents and family friends, have motivated me to do my best. They cheer me on for any and everything I am a part of. I am very appreciative of that.  If not for my support system, I would not be able to achieve most of the things I've achieved in this short time.

Thanks for your time!

Jada Hampton

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
