I would like to be admitted into a selective school and perform to the best of my ability both in academics and volleyball. I want to train with a positive, motivational coach and be part of a team that plays hard and wins, but most of all supports each other. I want to continue to push myself both in my studies, I love math and science and am interested in a school that can provide a solid foundation as well as assist me in finding my future career path. I will strive to continue to achieve excellence in my education.
I continue to improve my volleyball skills and performance greatly because I started late, had obstacles to overcome, and have progressed so far already. I played for the first time my freshman year, and I joined a travel team after the season ended because I loved it! Sophomore year, I had surgery to correct an old soccer injury (broken toe) between the high school season and travel season, however, painful complications caused me to miss the start of the travel year. However, I worked hard, not only physically to come back, but also to makeup for missing two weeks of school, and I still had a great season and maintained straight A's despite a rigorous course load. I tried out for a High Performance camp and was able to attend one in Las Vegas this past summer that taught me many things I am still working on.
I am excited about continuing my education (undecided major) as well as playing volleyball at the college level!
