Whitney Nichols '15 Recruiting Profile

Hello everyone! My name is Whitney Nichols & I'm currently a Senior at Mt. Pulaski High School. My first three years of high school volleyball, I've been a starter for the varsity team. My Freshman & Sophomore year, my team went Back-To-Back State Runner Up in Class 1A. I was a middle hitter my first two years & I had over 150 kills & over 30 blocks. I also received All-Conference Honorable Mention & All-Area Honorable Mention my Freshman year & Second Team for All-Conference & All-Area Honorable Mention my Sophomore year. My Junior year, I was moved back to my original spot, outside. I was one of top 30 girls to watch in the state of Illinois. I posted over 330 kills (Team Leading) & over 350 digs (Team Leading). My Junior season ended earlier then I wanted it too. Our season ended in the Sectional Championship in 3 close sets. The team that beat us ended up placing 3rd in the State Tournament. I made several First Teams, including All-Conference & All-Area, & two All-Area Second Teams. My next step is to win a State Championship, which I know my team & I are able to accomplish this coming season. My Senior season, I want to be remembered & I want to come out on top! The thing that makes me a good candidate for your team is that I'm willing to do absolutely anything to come out on top! Volleyball was my first love in life, that might sound weird but it's truth! I started playing volleyball when I was in Pre-School & I've played it ever since! The things that make different from other recruits is that I'm very competitive & my goal is to always to work together as a team & win! Team means family & I never want to lose that in life!
