I inherited my determination to succeed academically from my mother, a high school valedictorian, and my determination to succeed athletically from my father, a four-sport athlete and coach. I am also a Catholic like my mother and have attended Catholic school my entire life.
I became interested in volleyball when I first played it on my school team in 4th grade at 9 years old. I started playing club volleyball in 6th grade at 11 years old. I played at Sky High Volleyball Club for 4 years and this is my second year at Net Force Volleyball Club.
I have learned that I am a resilient person through playing volleyball. When I make a mistake, I ask myself what I did wrong and make sure to get it right the next time. If I get blocked, my next hit will definitely be a kill!
My academic goals for high school are to attain superior honors with a 4.25 GPA or higher and to take several AP classes over the course of my high school career. My academic goal for college is to attain a graduate degree in biology and the biomedical sciences.
I had to overcome the obstacle of managing my time between academics, volleyball, percussion ensemble, and softball during my freshman year of high school.
I am unique because of my involvement in numerous activities, my association with multiple different friend groups, my ability to lead while working with others, my versatility, and my strong sense of empathy.
