My name is Georgia Von Lehmden - a rising senior at Naperville Central High School and serving as team captain. As it's exciting to look forward to what's next, I remember how my love of the game began. I first started playing volleyball at the age of seven and have loved the game ever since. In fact, I progressed through that same club - Sports Performance Volleyball in Aurora, Il - where I still play today. For this past 2024 Club Season, I was the starting Right Side for 18-Red. A personal goal is to play women's volleyball at the D1 level, and contribute to a program and team that loves the game as much as I do. As for my future career, I am exploring a degree in marketing and possibly psychology with emphasis on next GenAI.
As I enter my senior year and in a leadership position, I am learning that I'm at my best when I support others to be their best. If someone is having an off day, I'll spend time with them to really understand them, lift them up as much as I can. I am also energized by the thrill of winning as a team and doing all I can to get us to that win. I show up with my full self - as a player and a person when I hit the court.
Fun fact. Many people would be interested to know that I have a twin sister, Piper, who dances for our high school varsity team. I mention her because we are always brainstorming and talking through our challenges. It's nice to have someone going through the same things at the same time.
