I grew up skiing and playing soccer with my older sister until she brought home a volleyball. I have been in love the game ever since. I started as a middle, moved to right side and now am playing outside. In addition to volleyball, I play piano and volunteer at the Naperville Humane Society.
Academically, I plan to pursue a science major for my undergraduate degree. My long term academic goal is to attend veterinary school. Having spent my formative years out east, I see myself as both a New Yorker and a midwesterner. It is a good mix. I have patience, a strong work ethic and a willingness to help others while at the same time the drive and forth rightness to stand up for what I believe in and a desire to lead.
Playing at Sports Performance, I have had to learn to prioritize and organize at the next level because the practice schedule is so demanding. I thrive on the rigor of an intense schedule. I like Pat Riley's quote, "There are only two options regarding commitment. You're either in or out." Talent will only get you so far. It takes dedication and persistence to succeed. I am in.
