Volleyball has been a major factor in my life since I was 10 years old. My mother always took me along to her beach and indoor games, but it wasn’t something I thought I could do until I went to my first clinic and I’ve been committed ever since. When I’m playing volleyball, I am the most confident and happy. I’m dedicated to my team and to my growth as a volleyball player. I’ve sought private training to improve my strength and jump. Although most of my experience is with passing and defense, I’m very willing to step into any position my coach needs me at. I delivered this past season as an outside and right-side hitter and played all the way around for our Varsity team. My experience as a beach volleyball player has helped me to be a more well rounded player. I’ve been told that I’m coachable, consistent and need to be involved in every play possible.
I’m also a serious student, always making As and Bs. While COVID presented a lot of obstacles last spring and this year, I did learn some things about myself. I adjusted to remote instruction but missed my friends. I’m better at navigating email, online platforms, and various digital media. It has sparked an interest that I may pursue further in college.
My ideal college will have a supportive environment that helps develop well rounded individuals where I feel like my strengths are appreciated and I'm not just a number.
