Jillian MacInnis '21 Recruiting Profile

I do not follow the crowd to fit in, I am true to myself and what I believe.  I am a champion of the other guy, I am a team player.  What does that mean for me?  It means doing my part for the team, both on the court and on the bench, even though I prefer the court! I have had the great fortune to always find myself on a team that played/s for each other, both for school and club.

When I am on the court I am constantly talking, pointing out opportunities for our offense to earn a point, and watching how the other team adjusts to our play.  Volleyball has taught me to be mentally strong,  It is a game of mistakes and adjustments.  You have to be able to shake off mistakes, learn from them and move on.  I like the tight, point for point games, because I live for the pressure and intensity. 

Academically, I also like a challenge.  I take the same attitude in the classroom that I do on the court.  I am a fighter, I welcome any opportunity that comes my way and do what is necessary to succeed.  I do not know what subject that I would like to study in college, but I hope to find my passion in school and build it into a dream job.
