Morgan Cowell '18 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing volleyball since i was 9 years old and have fallen in love with the game ever since. From the first time I was introduced to the sport, I have been dreaming about what it would be like to play at the collegiate level. As I've grown, I have gotten a better understanding on how the game works and what it takes to play to the best of my ability. I would be honored to live this once in a lifetime opportunity, knowing that it could change my whole life.

I am a middle blocker and have experienced playing as an outside hitter as well. Because of my quick movement at the net, i have become a great blocker and continue to hit hard cut shots in zones two and four. I have played both court and sand volleyball at competitive levels.

Anytime I step in the gym whether it be at practice or for a game I have the determination to give 100% and strive to be a hardworking athlete. I am very supportive of my team members and give them confidence when they need it most. I feel that my positive attitude and winning mentality helps myself and other team members, when in critical game situations.

In the classroom, I have 4.0 GPA and study hard to maintain a high grade. I am a part of many clubs and work as the class secretary of the class of 2018. I also help out at local youth volleyball camps whenever I get the chance.

I would like to attend a college where I will be pushed to work hard in the classroom and on the court. I am very coachable and like to be a team leader. I want to find the right college for me that has the highest level of competition possible. The game of volleyball is what I live for! I am strongly committed to playing volleyball at the collegiate level!
