I am the type of person who likes to set goals for myself. I don't give up until I achieve them. As a freshman in high school, I made the junior varsity team for my school. My goal that season was to get varsity playing time. I worked hard during practices and games in order to stand out and gain the attention of the varsity coaches. Throughout the season, the varsity coach asked me to dress for varsity games. Not only did I dress, I even got varsity playing time. I joined the varsity team for sectionals and was in the starting line up during our last game of sectionals! By the end of my freshman season, I had achieved my goal and earned my varsity letter.
I am always striving to get better. I am not scared to work hard and challenge myself. In 2018, I wanted to find a volleyball club where I could receive better training and play tougher competition. I was so proud of myself when I made a team at Circle City Elite. Since I began playing there, I have not stopped taking advantage of the opportunities that the club provides. I take private, semi-private, and small group lessons to get in extra reps and work on technique. I also work out with a trainer in order to build strength and agility.
I am a good student who enjoys the challenge of balancing academics and athletics. I'm looking for a college program that will be a good fit for me academically as well at athletically. I believe that I have the talent, grades, character, and work-ethic to compete for a college team. I want to bring my love for the game as well as my leadership to your team.
