My name is Abbey Maue and I have dreamed of playing volleyball in college since I started the game. I work everyday to try and make that dream come true.
The people who have had the most impact on me in my volleyball career has to be my family. They have supported me with everything I've done since I started playing. They've pushed me to go out of my comfort zone as well as take risks that I might not have taken if not for them. Those risks have helped me get to where I am today. They've also helped me not only develop as a player but as a person. It's because of them that I have my work ethic and leadership skills. They push me in the right path, make sure I work hard for what I want, and see to it that I never give up on the my dream.
I am well respected both on the court and in the classroom. As much time I put into getting better in my game, I put the same amount time into my grades. School is very important to me. I know that that needs to be my first focus because volleyball isn't going to end someday but my grades will determine what I do and how I live for the rest of my life.
As a teammate I strive to bring positivity to each and everyone of my teammates and coaches, whether it's on or off of the court. I believe volleyball is more than just being the athlete. It develops skills that you can use outside of the gym as well. By taking advantage of these opportunities through the sport, you are able to become a better person all around.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my site. I hope to see you at one of my matches.
