Emma Porter '21 Recruiting Profile

Whether I'm in the classroom or on the court, I strive to be the best to my ability.  I have a great work ethic and a drive that pushes me to conquer any and all challenges and obstacles in my path.  I love to be challenged and work together with others to achieve similar goals and aspirations.  

I would love to take volleyball as far as I can, including competing in college and beyond.  I was selected to play on a U15 team when I was a U14 player for CIA (Club Iowa Juniors).  I was also the only freshman at Center Point-Urbana to move up to play on the JV team in 2017 (There are 4 teams, freshman, sophomores, JV and Varsity).  I was very honored and grateful, as our JV team practiced with and against our Varsity CPU team, who was ranked #2 in the State of Iowa 4A division.  I was the starting setter on our CPU JV team for the 2017 season and the back up setter to a senior for our Varsity team.  I am also playing for the Iowa Rockets for the 2018 club season as the primary setter for the U16 Black team.  I have continued to grow to be a better, tougher opponent and thoroughly enjoy my teammates and celebrating our victories, whether large or small on the court.
