I am a 4-sport letter winner with 4.2 GPA and 26 ACT composite score. I have a focus and passion to succeed. I play and practice with intensity and hold my self-accountable in sports and the classrooms. I encourage my teammates and hold them accountable for our team goal.
My prime position in volleyball is libero/DS. As a Junior, I played outside hitter for about ¾ of the season due to injuries. The last ¼ of the season, I played Libero and lead the team in digs with 432 and reached 1000 digs for my career. As a libero, I averaged 5.6 digs a set which would put me in the top 10 in the state. I also lead the team in serving percentage with 95.1% and was honored by the team with the Spark Plug Award. As a sophomore, I played outside hitter due to a team need to fill that position. I lead my team in digs from that position. I have been a varsity starter since my freshman year. I play for IPVA 17U Black (Top IPVA Team). The team is playing in the open divisions of tournaments this fall and spring. and have played for Ohana and IPVA the last two years. I have included video from the current IPVA season in my profile.
I have been GVC’s starting 3rd baseman since 8th grade and this summer as a sophomore lead my team in batting average with a 458 average, 38 hits, 39 runs and 543 OB%. I played for Iowa Gold U18 this fall and have played travel ball for many years. I was named all-district and all-state (honorable mention). I was named a Class of 2023 top 3rd baseman by https://iowapreps.rivals.com/. I was awarded the GRIT Award by my coach. Last year when our pitcher went down, I became our starting pitcher.
In basketball I have started at point guard in my freshman through Junior years. I am 3rd in the state in steals (6.1 per game) and 20th in assists (5 per game). I lead my team in those categories and was second in points (11 per game) and rebounds (7.8 per game). As a sophomore, I lead our team in assists 3.6 per game, Rebounds 6.1/game and steals 3.4/game as a sophomore. As a Freshman, I was 1st in the state among freshman and 23rd overall in assists. I also was starting midfielder as a sophomore (my first year playing for the school) for our soccer team. My coaches awarded me an honor for my grit on the field.
Outside of sports and the classroom I am involved in National Honor society, am a middle school teacher assistant, assist with the middle school softball program and volunteer at a youth basketball camp and at a basketball tournament to raise money for the athletic programs.
I come from a competitive, coaching, and athletic family. My Mom was hall of fame D1 pitcher. My Brother is an All-Conference, conference champion and 2-time national tournament NAIA basketball point guard and was offered scholarships at the D2 level and recruited at the D1 level. My sister played D1 softball and was part of a MVC Championship Team. My other sister was recruited for both softball and soccer. My Mom and sister coach varsity softball. My Mom and Dad have coached high level travel teams for many years. My ultra-competitive family has helped me gain an incredible passion for team and the game. It has also helped me be a student of the game and help me be a better leader, teammate, and motivator.
