Personal Statement

I am looking for a college opportunity where I will be challenged academically while continuing to compete in volleyball. My goal is to major in Physical Therapy, and I am looking for a program that will be a good fit both academically and athletically. I believe I have the character, work-ethic, leadership skills and talent to make an impact on your program.

I am dedicated to my team and strive to be an asset to the team. I have been able to adjust to various team situations and play any of the hitting positions as needed. I know the importance of identifying your role on the team and working to help the team be successful. My primary role in high school has been middle but I have also played right and left side on club volleyball teams.

I understand my actions are a reflection of my team, my coaches and the school.  I will conduct myself with honor and respect on and off the court. I am dedicated to self-improvement and have proven this by attending lessons and camps or practicing skills in my free time. Each year I set personal goals and work to accomplish my goals. This effort has led to my current success earning a varsity position in all three sports (volleyball, basketball and softball) my freshman and sophomore years in high school. As a three-sport athlete, I am ready to be a leader on your team.
