I first got the idea of playing volleyball the summer before my freshman year. I already new what classes I was going to attend at school, and the CLEP program I would start the first semester of my freshman year at Worcester Technical High School, but i didn’t know what sport to start off high school with. I chose volleyball, which was shocking to my parents because I had never touched a ball before. Going into tryouts I knew I had to put 200% in if I wanted to make the team. By determination I made the Jv team my freshman year. Going into my sophomore year, my goal was to be on varsity. I knew I would have to try really hard if I wanted to achieve this goal. This time I knew I needed to try 300%. Determination was in my mind, and helped me get a spot on the varsity team my second year playing. I would be a positive role model on any team with my attitude and hard work. After finishing my sophomore season, I tried out for a club called Dynamic Volleyball Academy. I played throughout the winter as a middle hitter to help me improve on myself. Not only do I try on the court, but I also use determination in school to achieve good grades. Acedemics play a big role in my life.
