My goal for playing collegiate volleyball is not only to further myself as a student-athlete, but to further develop and gain the additional skills to advance me further in society. The skills I am speaking about include but are not limited to confidence, compassion, discipline, accountability, and strengthening my ability to work as a team with diverse personalities and skills. I know many athletes say they bring enthusiasm or they are a natural leader. Although I do bring enthusiasm I also bring out the best in each of my teammates. With my father and brother both taking a career in coaching they’ve taught me that nobody wants someone on their team who is uncoachable and has a negative attitude.
