Asya Anderson '22 Recruiting Profile

My love for volleyball started when my aunt introduced me to the sport. She played volleyball in high school. In 5th grade I started playing recreation volleyball and attending skills clinics. I've continued to play through middle and high school. While playing I've gained friends, experience, skill, and personal accomplishments. Volleyball is a big happy part of my life but I continued to balance a healthy academic and social life and I hope to continue it through college. Volleyball has given me a positive mind set and purpose for myself during the years I’ve played.

My goal is to continue playing at a level and school that is challenging to me on both aspects; academically and competitively. I love playing new positions and am open to do whatever is needed of me and that same passion continues into the classroom. I believe in being the best I can be and perfecting everything I do. Not only do I want my personal success but I wish to see that for my teammates as well. I want to see my team thrive and I will do whatever I can to be apart of that, a team that thrives also wins. I am open to learning new skills and advancing my play for the betterment of myself and my team. I thrive to be the difference and make an impact on any and every team I am on.
