My name is Isabel FitzGerald and I'm a part of the 2023 class at Towson High School in Towson, Maryland. I play volleyball for both my school and club teams and absolutely love exercising, working with teammates, and growing both physically and mentally stronger. As someone who thrives on academic rigor, having a school where I can dedicate myself to intellectual growth while continuing to play the sport I love would be the ideal next step in achieving my life goals. I am looking for a college with strong science programs, specifically in the Biology Department, as well as resources for the Humanities or Social Sciences. I plan to double major in Biology and Communication and aspire to become a Pediatric Oncologist who can effectively communicate knowledge and ideas to my patients, my peers, and the broader community.
I am hard-working, goal-oriented, considerate, and sincere; characteristics that make me a strong team member. When I set my mind to a goal, I dedicate the necessary time and energy needed to accomplish it because I believe hard work and effort make goals achievable. As part of a team, I will contribute these characteristics toward achieving the shared goals of me and my teammates. I believe that a well-balanced student-athlete college experience is an opportunity to continue developing into the most well-rounded person I can be, someone who utilizes her strengths to achieve goals, overcome challenges, and support and encourage others.
