Victoria Rodrigues '23 Recruiting Profile

To me, volleyball is all about emotion. If you get down on yourself, you bring your whole team down. I am the one who never lets my teammates doubt themselves and am a firm believer that “the only point that matters is the next.” 

My goal is to find a college with the best academics where I can also play volleyball at an elite level. I have been the captain of my team since 2020 and the starting varsity libero every game. I was named MCSAO’s All-Region All Star. I constantly push my self to succeed in my academics and athletics. I am constantly hungry to win. I have played with Foxborough Regional  Charter School for 5 years and have been described as having great hustle and hunger by many coaches. We have been the  undefeated champs in the region since 2012.

I never want to see a ball drop on defense and am a consistent serve receive passer. I constantly cover my blockers and watching a hitters shoulders a positioning allows me to read hitters and predict where the ball is going to go. Being a leader in the back row, and having effective communication allows me and me team to thrive. I have developed close relationships with my coaches and with my teammates and this is what has helped us go far and surpass our expectations. 

Additionally, I strive to keep my grades high. I try my best to improve in school and volleyball at the same time. I will continue to put time into both academics and volleyball everyday of my life so that I can achieve my goals. I want to successfully play at a high level of volleyball and play with the pro's.
