Gretchen Brockway '19 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Gretchen Brockway. I am currently attending Grosse Pointe South High School in Grosse Pointe, Michigan.  I will be graduating in 2019.  I see my college years as a time to continue grow as an individual and implement the strong values that I have learned from my family, faith and sports.  My goal is to explore a science major that will position me well to move into medical school.  My dream is to someday earn a college degree and play at the highest level of volleyball. In order to accomplish this goal, I realize it will take a lot of hard work and dedication. I have learned through my parents’ guidance and by the grace of God anything is possible!

I work very hard to excel in the class room. I have a busy work schedule working out once a week doing FAST (functional athletic sequence training) along with practicing with my club team three times a week which has taught me to manage my time both academically and athletically.  As I grow both mentally and physically in my college volleyball career, I will strive to be challenged at every practice and match and implement strategies that I learn that will not only benefit my performance but help the team win!
