Victoria Laeder '21 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Victoria Laeder. I am a 5'9" outside hitter/DS at L'Anse Creuse High School in Harrison Township. I can also play middle and right side if my coach needs me there. I started playing volleyball when I was 12 just for fun to keep me busy. However, as I got to high school my love for the game grew and it still continues to. I have always had a drive to improve in my skills and be at the best level that I can be. My sophomore year I received All-County Honorable Mention, Honorable Mention for the All-Conference team, and the Academic Team for Macomb Area Conference. I started off the season being a middle blocker for my team. I worked hard and improved but towards the end of the season my coach tried me at new positions. I found myself feeling comfortable in the right side position. I improved my skills and I'm now more in love with the game than ever. My senior year my coach moved me to outside hitter/DS and I feel like that’s the best spot for me. Shortly after that, I realized my aspirations quickly focused to playing volleyball at the collegiate level. I believe that I would be a good candidate for your team because I give 100% all the time and I have a drive for the game that not a lot of people have.

In the classroom, I am dedicated to achieving and maintaining a high GPA. I have a GPA of 3.89 and I plan on studying to be a Physical Therapist or Athletic Trainer in college. I am the treasurer of the National Honor Society and I am also apart of Link Crew, a program dedicated to helping incoming freshmen feel more comfortable about high school.  I am also a crew leader at my job that I absolutely love. You can count on me to put in 100% all the time on and off the court.
