Personal Statement

Ever since I first picked up a volleyball, in 2nd grade, I started practicing and knew that I wanted to play volleyball at a higher level. I know that playing at the college level is a once in a lifetime opportunity, but it is definitely one that I desire and work hard to accomplish.

I try to be a team leader by leading by example, hustling and encouraging my teammates.  I feel my positive attitude is contegeous on the court especially when things might not be going as planned.  I try to challenge myself by trying new things even when it's difficult.  My coaches have a lot of knowledge and I try to learn as much as I can from them in both practices and games.  I am also trying to improve my leadership skills by attending an Athletic Leadership Training held by The Positive Coaching Alliance.  I hope to become a positive role model for, not only, my younger sisters but for current and future athletes to come.  I want to be remembered by my teammates by my good work ethic, my competitiveness, and the way I treat people with respect.

In the classroom I am maintaining a 3.929 GPA and belong to the student council.  Outside of the class, I'm either working out, playing volleyball, softball, or throwing shot put and discus for my school teams.  I enjoy drawing, babysitting, reading, helping with our animals and helping out with my sisters' sports teams.

I want to attend a college that will push me to expand my knowledge and my ability to volleyball. I would like to attend a college with a good medical program so I can be on the right track to becoming an orthopedic surgeon.  Life is short; Work Hard; Play Volleyball.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
