Kayla Sage '21 Recruiting Profile

As I approach my collegiate career, I find myself anxiously looking towards the future and all the experiences college has to offer. I want to continue to grow as a player and as a student. After many years as a student athlete, competition in the classroom and on the court has become my passion. I love being part of a team, growing together, pushing each other further and achieving success together. As a six rotation player I have learned to be a leader on the court at all times, no matter the position or situation. I train continuously year round to improve my skills and talent, to challenge myself to be better than I was the day before. During my college career I know that my abilities as an athlete and my skills as a student will be put to the test. When off the court I am looking to concentrate my academics in the field of medicine. I can only sum up my character by saying that being a good student has only made me a better athlete and being a good athlete has made me an even better student. I love playing volleyball for all the things it has taught me about teamwork, discipline and perseverance. I also love the rush of being on the court and celebrating with your teammates after a great point. I can't imagine continuing my academic career without playing volleyball, because for me the two have always been a part of who I am.
