Personal Statement

My name is Macy Hendrix.  I've been watching and playing volleyball my entire life; I cannot imagine a I life without volleyball in it.  Volleyball was my first love, and it remains a priority and my favorite pastime. Playing at the college level has been a dream of mine for a very long time, and now it has finally become an obtainable goal that is within reach. I have spent years preparing, and now playing at the college level would make me happy because I could enjoy my passion while also preparing for my future academically.  What I feel makes me stand out as a player would be my volleyball IQ and court awareness.   I understand the game and see the court in ways many don't. I am good at making spur of the moment decisions that change the momentum of the game in my team's favor, and I'm a calm and steady setter who can run a smart and quick offense.
