My primary goal for college is to earn a degree in nursing. In school, and in our family I have seen the personal reward that comes from helping those most in need.
I think that I would make a great team member of a college volleyball team. I have had years of experience playing at a very competitive level. Most importantly, I have learned that success comes from working together. A teams strength comes from picking each other up and supporting one another and not getting frustrated when things get tough.
I think something that is unique to me is my ability to adapt to overcome adversity. When my dad retired I had to switch high schools and adjust to a new team, and new school. During my club experience, we had several years when our coaches left our program for new jobs, family, and other things. One year, we had 3 coaches in one season. It was a successful year for me because I was able to adapt quickly to the continuously changing coaching styles. In February of 2016 my mother died unexpectantly. It was the night before the President's Day Tournament. After a week, I rejoined my team. We worked together and my club team placed 13th in the National Tournament.
