Shaye Koski MAVS ...Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Shaye. I'm a Pin Hitter for both high school and club teams running full rotations. I am a Junior at Park Hill HS taking AP college prep courses with the plan to continue my education and volleyball at the university level. I have been watching volleyball since I was 3 yrs. old, participating since 3rd grade, and playing competitively since age 11. My inaugural MAVS 816 club team were the 2020 Colorado Crossroads 15-1 USA Champions and 2022 Show Me 17-1's USA Champions. I was nominated to the 2020 and 2021 Phenom List and selected to the 2020 Missouri Academic ALL-STATE Volleyball Team. I have been a co-team captain in all my club and high school experiences and believe in dedication to my team.
My family moved around a lot when I was younger which is how I developed my love for travel, adventure, and meeting new people. My friends would say that I am fiercely loyal, kind, ambitious, and highly competitive. Growing up with three athletic brothers has helped me to persevere and push my personal limits as well as developed my strong sense of humor! I have worked hard to get where I am and am determined to meet my life goals both academically and athletically.
