I started playing volleyball in third grade and only because my mom made me go to Nixa's high school camp. She told me I would love it, and she was right. I grew up playing basketball and volleyball and for a long time, I liked both sports equally. But eventually, I realized that volleyball would be the one I would want to continue to play at the collegiate level.
I love every aspect of the game. I've played every position there is to play other than libero. I have great vision of the court and am a very smart player. Finding holes in the court and knowing where to place the ball comes naturally to me. I am very consistent and make minimal errors. I play to win. If it's game point and we need to put a ball down, my teammates can count on me to do so.
I have worked hard to get where I am now. Not only as a volleyball player, but also as a student. School is very important to me and academics are my top priority when looking for a school. There are always things to improve on. Not only in sports or school, but just life in general. I train often to improve my strength and conditioning. I believe that the better shape you are in, the better your overall game is. I will continue to work hard as a student athlete to better myself and the people around me.
