Starting volleyball in seventh grade and not having any previous experience in the sport was hard. I knew that I needed to make up for my skill level through hard work and hustle. I’ve had plenty of coaches who put me down and played favorites against me. This, however, only fed the fire within me and made me realize that I needed to work hard for myself and my team rather than to receive gratitude.
Through volleyball I’ve become more confident in my leadership skills and my personal life. I’ve recognized my calculating mind and eye for detail. I am looking for a program that will reflect my high expectations for myself academically. I believe I have what it takes to be a strong and uplifting leader on and off the court and that I have the skills and characteristics needed to make an impact in your program.
